Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Emergency Readiness in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and guests while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $24.44 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter boundaries, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Report security-related observations, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
