MTSI is seeking a highly skilled Senior Acquisition Program Manager with an active TS/SCI clearance to directly support a Program Management Office (PMO) and a Program Manager (PM). This role involves providing project management, acquisition support, and technical oversight for customer development efforts in Washington, DC.

The Senior Acquisition Program Manager will assist the U.S. Air Force PMO in managing the cost, schedule, and performance of multiple high priority technology development efforts.  The ideal candidate will have Department of War (DoW) acquisition program management expertise in driving platform, sensor, and/or munitions programs through development, fielding, and sustainment. The candidate will interact daily with PM’s and technical subject matter experts in both the Government and Aerospace Industry performing strategic planning, programmatic and technical assessments, and developing / executing program acquisition strategies to rapidly deliver urgently needed technology solutions.  


Required Skills:
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in DoW acquisition and program management.
  • Proven experience with the DoW Acquisition processes, financial management and contracting on large acquisitions of aerospace platforms, weapons, and / or integrated subsystems.
  • Experience with DoW and / or USAF systems engineering processes and procedures.
  • Experience across the DoW Acquisition Lifecycle of hardware, software, and weapon systems in prototyping, design, development, testing, and sustainment.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and executing program risk management plans, including risk identification, analysis, handling, and monitoring. 
  • Experience providing program management support and inputs to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including system requirements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and evaluation criteria.  
  • Experience performing technical evaluations of contractor proposals, concepts, and studies.
  • Willing to travel ~20% of the time.
  • Excellent spoken, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled at problem solving, coordination with high-level decision makers and demonstrated ability to excel and lead within a high performing, cross functional team.
  • 5 years or more of DoW and / or USAF Special Access Programs experience.

Desired Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with the DoW Acquisition processes, systems engineering, and program planning and execution

Educational Requirements:
  • BS Degree in a related discipline.
  • Masters Degree in a related field Desired.

Clearance Requirements: Current TS/SCI clearance required. 
 
The pay range for this position is $180,000/year to $230,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI offers a full range of medical benefits, 401k, ESOP, paid time off, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
