Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities

  • Non-lawyers representing the interests of the company to the US gov't as well as international governments, and agencies - may assist with government contracts, domestic product preferences, gift and gratuity regulations, former government employee restrictions. Involved in long term efforts including policy shaping.
  • Responsible to advise management in the function and/or in the business. Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects.
  • Handles communication with colleagues and business leaders about change of policy and implementation. Ability to communicate complex messages to others.
  • Acts frequently as a project leader in projects involving the business and other functions. Projects have a long term horizon ( 2- 3 years). Results will be visible after at least 2 years.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Government Affairs & Policies.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

The annual pay scale for this position is between $161,870.00 - $300,670.00.

Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role and does not include other forms of compensation.
