Description:

  • The FHA Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing overall leadership, management, and oversight of a complex, high-visibility FHA contract supporting the DOT
  • The Senior Project Manager directs all aspects of contract performance, ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of program and project management, technical writing, editorial and publications services, stakeholder outreach, and strategic communications initiatives that enhance stakeholder engagement and advance FHA's research mission

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall management and execution of complex, high-visibility projects and a diverse portfolio of tasks within a fast-paced research communications and publishing office
  • Provides strategic planning, resource allocation, and day-to-day coordination with Government Contracting Officers (COs), Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs), Task Managers, and researchers to ensure successful project execution
  • Oversees project schedules, budgets, risk management, and performance metrics to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and within budget
  • Ensures staff maintain accurate and timely updates within the submission and project tracking system, providing customers with real-time visibility into the status of their projects

 

 

 

Education:

  • Master's Degree or Bachelors Degree with relevant experience in Business, Marketing/Communications, or a related technical discipline

 

Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including leadership of multidisciplinary teams, managing marketing and communications; and supervising the publication of technical information from concept to final product from one-page flyers to technical reports; presentations; videos; online tours; social media; and other communications collateral
  • FHA transportation experience, especially in highway and surface transportation is preferred
