GST, LLC. a GTSC Company is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Department of Commerce – Office of Space Commerce (OSC), TraCSS Program. The person in this role will serve as liaison with the DoD to identify, discuss, and formulate DoD-to-OSC transition plans and resolve open questions and issues related to the transition.
This position has been approved for a hybrid work schedule at our office located in Washington, D.C.Â

Primary Duties:
The employee shall lead/facilitate technical studies and pathfinders that are targeted to mature OSC knowledge about industry capabilities and performance in the delivery of SSA/STC (Space Situational Awareness / Space Traffic Coordination) services. The Office of Space Commerce (OSC) Professional and Administrative Support Services studies will also inform OSC about metrics and acquisition strategies in the procurement of TraCSS basic services. The contractor must work closely with subject matter experts, NASA TraCSS management and industry to ensure that the technical studies and pathfinders meet TraCSS needs and outcomes can be operationalized. The contractor shall also provide technical program support to include, but not limited to, stakeholder engagement, data management, and reporting.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
- MS or PhD degree in engineering, physics, or a related field; minimum 12 years of relevant experience (with at least 7 in SDA/SSA/STC).
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in orbital analysis, space domain awareness, or space traffic coordination.Â
- Familiarity with systems such as SPADOC, ASW, ATLAS, SP Tasker, JMS, SGSN, CAVENet, or equivalent orbital data processing tools.

Salary at GST is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range or this position and is just one component of the GST total compensation package for employees.
