This role focuses on executing research tasks and supporting analytical efforts.   Primary Responsibilities Support quantitative and qualitative research efforts Assist in developing surveys and discussion guides Conduct basic data analysis and interpretation Support data collection and validation Assist with interviews and focus groups Contribute to reports and briefings Track audience trends and insights QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor’s degree in related field 1-3 years of experience Understanding of research methods Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (experience with Excel and data visualization software is preferred) Ability to analyze data using R or Python strongly preferred. Willingness to learn R Communications or public diplomacy experience is a plus Security Requirements Active SECRET Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance Ability to obtain Department of State system access and credentials Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times Work Location Security Requirements Washington, DC Metropolitan Area Onsite Travel up to 20% to OCONUS and/or CONUS locations Work Hours Monday through Friday during normal business hours except Federal Holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. Emergency Services: On occasion, services may be required to support an activation or exercise of contingency plans outside of normal operating hours.
