Loch Harbour Group is seeking a SQL/Tableau Developer to build and maintain the production dashboards and reporting products that federal stakeholders rely on daily. You will author the queries behind the visuals, SQL against PostgreSQL and Python against a Databricks environment , and own the shared, certified data sources that keep dashboards and published reports resolving to the same numbers. Build and maintain production dashboards in Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud, authoring the underlying queries in SQL against PostgreSQL and in Python against a Databricks environment. Maintain shared, certified data sources so dashboards and published reports resolve to the same numbers. Support recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reporting products against a fixed morning delivery window. Respond to ad hoc data requests received daily. Contribute to automated data validation, including row counts, variable and schema checks, and reconciliation against authoritative reference data. Train federal staff to use the dashboards. 

 

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• 3+ years building and maintaining production Tableau content

Requirements

  • Three-plus years building and maintaining production Tableau content, not one-off workbooks
  • Strong SQL, including query authoring and tuning against a relational platform
  • Python for data processing and automation
  • Experience supporting recurring reporting on a fixed schedule where deadlines do not move
  • Version control discipline, GitLab or equivalent
  • Build and maintain production dashboards in Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud
  • Author and tune SQL queries against a PostgreSQL relational platform
  • Write Python for data processing and automation against a Databricks environment
  • Maintain shared, certified data sources so dashboards and published reports stay consistent with one another
  •  Support recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reporting products against a fixed morning delivery window
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests received daily
  • Contribute to automated data validation, including row counts, variable and schema checks, and reconciliation against authoritative reference data
  •  Train federal staff to use the dashboards
  •  Maintain version control discipline using GitLab or equivalent

  • Prior DHS or federal statistical or analytic program experience
  • Databricks
  • SAS 9.4, for maintaining limited existing code
  • Experience with data lineage or schema-drift detection
