As a Sr. Front End Developer II, you’ll lead UI/UX modernization efforts and deliver secure, high-performance front-end and enterprise web applications with the goal to make an impact across the federal government. Ourmission application development team is responsible for building and sustaining mission-critical systems in a no-fail federal environment, and you’ll contribute to secure full-stack development while driving modern, scalable user experiences that enhance system performance, usability, and operational effectiveness.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead design and implementation of modern, responsive, high-performance user interfaces using Angular and/or React.
  • Translate mission and operational requirements into intuitive, accessible UI/UX solutions.
  • Modernize legacy web applications to current front-end frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate production issues in a mission-critical environment.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and platform engineering teams.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions impacting performance, scalability, and maintainability.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Active Top Secret with current or previously held SCI access.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
  • Certification meeting DoD 8140 requirements (e.g., Security+ or higher).
  • Certification of Azure Developer Associate, AWS Developer Associate, or recent/relevant software development certification.
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience building, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications in mission-critical environments.
  • Expertise with modern front-end development (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CS, Node.js, Angular and/or React).
  • Strong understanding of modern UI/UX web design principles for performance and responsiveness.
  • Familiar with C#, .NET, .NET Framework, ASP.NET (e.g., WebForms, MVC, REST APIs).
  • Familiar with back-end database development and administration (e.g., SQL Server and T-SQL).
  • Familiar with source code management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization using Docker.
  • Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.

This position is designated as essential personnel supporting continuity of operations and may require work during government shutdowns, emergencies, or other critical situations.

SALARY RANGE:  $170,000 - $225,000 

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
