Position Summary

NCC is seeking a Telecom Analyst/Telecom Engineer to work in an operations and maintenance environment with a team of telecommunication engineers and analysts. In this position, you will uphold and update unified voice, video, and web conference communication infrastructure services and offer full-life cycle engineering support to ensure the Avaya communication management and unified communication solutions and products are secure, effective, efficient, complete and responsive.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide tier 2/3 support to investigate and resolve problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues which may require shift work or after hours call-in 7/24/365 to meet customer SLAs.
  • Manage and Administer Virtual servers, vmware esxi hosts, AVPS.
  • Manage and Administer Avaya CM infrastructure.
  • Manage and Administer Legacy telecommunications services (e.g., analog, digital PSTN lines and trunks, etc.).
  • Assess, manage, and mitigate vulnerabilities in Avaya and Windows servers (Windows/Linux).
  • Maintain and improve voice quality standards through identification and resolution of discovered issues.
  • Assess unified communication infrastructure to identify and analyze critical performance indicators and operational gaps that can pose significant risk.
  • Perform communications system’s health assessments to include technology and/or routing protocols including review of systems device health and collection of performance-related data.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
  • 8 years if Avaya experience
  • Hands on experience with:
  • Avaya CM 7.x and up
  • Avaya SMGR 7.1 and up
  • Avaya Session Manager 7.1 and up
  • AVP
  • AES
  • WFO
  • CDR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Avaya certifications
  • Experience with securelogix voice firewall
  • Strong SIP experience
  • Experience with Avaya Elite multi-channel
  • Experience deploying esxi hosts and OVAs
  • Experience Upgrading Avaya CM, SMGR and Session manager

Compensation

$65,000-$75,000
