cFocus Software seeks a Jr. Cartographer to join our program supporting the United States Secret Services (USSS). This position is remote. This position requires the ability a Public Trust clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Cartography, Geospatial Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cartography or GIS production.
  • Hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap.
  • Understanding of basic cartographic principles including scale, projection, and symbology.
  • Ability to follow instructions, templates, and established standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required DHS background investigation.
Duties:
 
  • Produce cartographic products including maps, graphics, and visualizations using ESRI ArcGIS tools.
  • Assist in designing map layouts, symbology, labeling, and data visualization standards.
  • Update and maintain geospatial datasets used for operational and analytical purposes.
  • Support map production requests for protective intelligence, planning, and operational missions.
  • Perform basic spatial analysis and data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist senior GIS staff with data preparation, quality control, and metadata development.
  • Follow established cartographic standards, templates, and USSS branding guidelines.
  • Support SELC activities related to documentation and data updates.
  • Ensure products comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements where applicable.
  • Maintain version control and organization of cartographic products and data.
  • Provide timely updates and status reporting on assigned tasks.
