The Assistant General Manager partners closely with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and works hand‑in‑hand with the Food & Beverage and hotel leadership teams to support daily operations, nurture a high‑performing team, and uphold Lyle’s culture, mission, and commitment to heartfelt hospitality.

Assistant General Manager – Essential Functions
- Supports and manages the leadership of daily restaurant, bar, and Event operations to ensure seamless, elevated service
- Lead, coach, and inspire front‑of‑house teams, ensuring training, development, and standards alignment with Lyle’s hospitality style
- Act as a visible, engaged floor leader—building guest relationships, supporting the team, and resolving issues with calm and care
- Partner with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage on service strategy, menu rollouts, team culture initiatives, and guest experience programming‑experience programming
- Monitor and maintain service quality, guest satisfaction scores, and colleague engagement
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, labor management, performance reviews, and team communication
- Collaborate closely with Culinary, Events, and hotel leadership on operational needs, special events, and cross departmental opportunities‑departmental opportunities
- Support inventory management, cost controls, purchasing, and POS administration
- Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol service regulations, and all local and federal requirements
- Responsible for maintaining a high energy, positive, professional appearance
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Previous leadership experience in a restaurant or hotel food & beverage environment required; AGM or supervisor/manager experience preferred
- Full-Time Management Position that requires full flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule
- Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and effective in providing exceptional customer service
- Candidates should possess strong food and beverage knowledge. Beverage knowledge should include wine, spirits and beer
- Proven ability to motivate, support, and develop teams
- Strong & refined communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills‑resolution skills
- Hotel experience and a thorough understanding of restaurant service
- Adaptability and composure in a fast paced environment‑paced environment
- Warm, guest first leadership style with a passion for creating memorable experiences
- Working knowledge of POS systems, reservations platforms, inventory processes, and daily F&B operations
Compensation:
$70,000 - $75,000 Annual Salary
