Magnolia Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Residential HVAC Installation Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance a career in the HVAC trade. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, dependable, hardworking, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while working alongside experienced HVAC professionals on residential installation projects throughout the Washington, DC area.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, and ductless mini-split systems.
  • Support lead installers with equipment replacements, new system installations, and system upgrades.
  • Learn to read and interpret installation drawings, specifications, and manufacturer instructions.
  • Assist with the installation of ductwork, refrigerant lines, condensate drains, and related HVAC components.
  • Perform basic equipment start-up, testing, and system checks under supervision.
  • Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, supervisors, and team members.
  • Participate in company training and apprenticeship development programs.

Requirements

  • Previous HVAC, construction, mechanical, or trade experience preferred but not required. 
  • Strong desire to learn the residential HVAC trade. 
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. 
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred. 
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude. 
  • Good communication and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials and perform physical labor in residential work environments. 
  • Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, and outdoor conditions as needed. 
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred. 
  • EPA Certification is a plus but not required. 
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.
