Job Description:

Summary:

Students in this position will assist the Sociology department with marketing and communications, including graphic design for promotional materials, social media posts, and department website updates.

Essential Functions:

  • Create informational flyers and pamphlets.

  • Manage department social media.

  • Work with Sociology Events and Communications Committee.

  • Help plan department events.

  • Assist with content creation and updating department website.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-time.

  • 10 hours per week.

Salary Range:

  • $17.95 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Student at American University with an active Federal Work Study (FWS) Award.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Graphic design experience preferred.
