Job Description
K&T Security is hiring a Spanish, unarmed bilingual Security Officer to support access control and customer service duties. This position requires strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, a professional demeanor, and the ability to manage access in a busy environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, courteous, and experienced in working with diverse populations in high-traffic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access at the main entrance of the facility.
• Communicate effectively with Spanish- and English-speaking visitors, staff, and community members.
• Verify identification, log visitors, and enforce access protocols.
• Provide customer service and assistance to the public and on-site staff.
• Deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or safety concerns.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while using de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Document activities and incidents in detailed daily reports.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Wage: $20–$23, depending on experience
• Schedule: Daytime hours only; no nights or weekends
• Training: Paid training, with advancement opportunities

Minimum Qualifications:

• License: Must HAVE Valid SO License issued by the District of Columbia
• Language: Fluent in both Spanish and English
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in security or law enforcement, with access control experience
• Technology: Must own a smartphone (Android or iPhone) to access required apps for scheduling and reporting
• Uniform: Must comply with K&T uniform and appearance standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in multilingual and/or multicultural environments
• Military or law enforcement background
