Unity’s Behavioral Health Fellowship Program provides advanced clinical training within an Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) model embedded in primary care settings. Position Summary

The Post-Graduate Behavioral Health Fellowship Program Clinical Supervisor provides clinical supervision, mentorship, and educational support to post-graduate behavioral health fellows training within Unity Health Care’s Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) model.

This role is responsible for weekly supervision, case consultation, documentation review, clinical skill development, and fellow performance evaluation to ensure high-quality patient care and successful professional development. The Clinical Supervisor will collaborate closely with Behavioral Health leadership, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary care teams to support fellows in delivering evidence-based, culturally responsive behavioral health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly individual and/or group clinical supervision to behavioral health fellows
  • Offer real-time clinical guidance, mentorship, and case consultation
  • Support fellows in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions
  • Review and co-sign clinical documentation, treatment plans, and progress notes as required
  • Assist with fellow evaluations, educational goals, and professional development planning
  • Participate in fellowship didactics, trainings, workshops, and case conferences
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical and behavioral health teams to support integrated care delivery
  • Promote high-quality, culturally competent, and patient-centered behavioral health services
  • Support fellows in developing competencies within the Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) model
  • Maintain compliance with clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in program improvement initiatives and fellowship development activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted DC LICSW license required or reciprocity eligible
  • LPC, LMFT, PsyD, or other independently licensed behavioral health professionals also considered
  • Minimum two (2) years of clinical and/or educational experience required
  • Experience working within an Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) model preferred
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment approaches
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary care teams
  • Supervisory or clinical teaching experience preferred (minimum one year preferred)
  • Experience working with diverse and underserved populations strongly preferred
