The Watergate Hotel is currently seeking talented Server to join our dynamic Food & Beverage operation!Ā
Successful candidates will possess the following skills and expertise:
ā¢2+ years of direct server experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant or hotel setting. Those with luxury hotel server experience will be preferred.
ā¢Must possess superior food knowledge including varied ingredients, preparation techniques and cuisine styles; must have prior experience in pairing food with wine, spirits, beer, etc.
ā¢Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays.
ā¢Must be a superior communicator with fluency in English required; those with bi-lingual abilities will be preferred. ā¢Current TIPS certification is required; if your certification is not current, you must be able to successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
ā¢A High School Diploma is required; college degree preferred.
ā¢Must have prior experience with up-selling and be able to inform guests of dining options resulting in a memorable dining experience for all Watergate guests.
ā¢Must be physically able to meet the demands of the position such as carrying/lifting heavy trays during service; walk/stand for extended periods of time while on shift; must be able to climb/descend stairs with trays, etc. while on shift.
