Summary:
Ticket Office and Event Support workers will be present at Katzen Art Center and Greenberg Theatre performances to assist the Ticket Office and Front of House Supervisors in providing a positive patron experience for all. In addition to comfortably using the ticketing system, Ticket Office support staff will run the Will Call table during events and respond to telephone calls and voicemail. Ticket Office and Event Support staff will be crossed trained to work in both Ticket Office and Usher positions.
This position requires strong customer service skills and a positive attitude. A successful candidate must be able to work with the public in a professional manner. Katzen and Greenberg Event Support staff are at all times expected to act in a professional manner as a representative of the AU and CAS. Business casual attire is mandatory when working. The work schedule varies depending on performance schedule. Hours available may be weekdays, weekends, day or evening.
Essential Functions:
Ticket Office Assistants are responsible for processing ticket orders both over the phone and in-person at the box office window (during performances as well as weekly box office hours).
Ticket Office Assistants will additionally provide thorough information about performances and events happening throughout the Katzen Art Center, Greenberg Theater and Katzen Museum to patrons.
Post-performances, Ticket Office Assistants will be responsible for collecting and packaging remaining Will Call tickets and ticket stubs for filing.
Event support workers will be responsible for general office tasks such as filing, maintaining office organization, and light cleaning duties.
Ticket Office Assistants will develop an excellent working knowledge and familiarity with the online ticketing system to provide a quality ticket-buying experience.
Ticket Office Assistants will check and return ticket office phone messages daily, and act as a liaison between the public and the Patron Services & Event Coordinator.
Ushers will tear tickets, answer patron questions, and assist with seating in the venue.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
20 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$17.95 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Candidates must demonstrate positive face-to-face customer service and the ability to work independently as well as on a team.
Preferred Education and Experience:
An interest in the performing arts and event management is desirable, as well as strong communication skills.
