What You Will Do:
The Nurse Educator (Nursing Practice and Professional Development Specialist) provides professional development and education to assist Labor and Delivery staff in preparing for contemporary practice and support in acquiring the evidence-based knowledge and skills needed to competently care for labor and delivery patients. She/he facilitates bridging the gap between research and evidence-based practice ensuring quality and safe patient care both directly and indirectly. She/he participates in the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating activities associated with comprehensive unit-based and hospital-wide nursing educational needs.

What You Will Bring:
- Master’s degree in nursing or related discipline preferred or must be matriculated into a Master’s degree program.
- Minimum of 5 years of RN experience on labor and delivery.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia.
- Board-Certification within specialty preferred or acquired within 9 months of employment.
- Current BLS (CPR) certification required.
Salary Range: Minimum 50.81 per hour - Maximum 78.75 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
