JOB SUMMARY: The CNC Machinist I is an entry-level machinist responsible for operating CNC equipment under supervision while learning machining fundamentals, quality standards, and company procedures. You will be part of a Manufacturing team dedicated to maintaining high-quality output and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate CNC lathes and/or mills following established work instructions. Load and unload materials and finished components. Perform basic in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Verify part identification and maintain material traceability. Deburr and clean machined components. Monitor machine operation and report issues to supervisors. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures. Complete required production documentation. Perform other manufacturing-machining duties as assigned. QualificationsWHAT YOU BRING TO UPC: Required High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read basic work instructions. Basic math skills. Ability to use common measuring tools. A positive attitude and willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, commitment to safety and quality, reliability, and dependability. Preferred Technical school or machining coursework. Manufacturing experience. Experience operating CNC equipment. Physical Requirements: A team member must meet the physical demands described here to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable team members with disabilities to perform the following essential functions: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to occasionally move about inside a warehouse and office to access files, office/warehouse machinery, etc. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information. Must be able to operate manufacturing and engineering machinery such as lapping, CNC lathe, and milling machines, etc. Occasionally positions self to maintain manufacturing and engineering machinery, including under workstations. Frequently moves raw and treated materials weighing up to 50 pounds across the warehouse for various purposes, as needed. WORKING CONDITIONS:                                             Work is performed on-site in an office/warehouse environment, with frequent interruptions and schedule variances due to business needs. No special coordination beyond those used for normal mobility, handling of everyday objects and materials, and use of office equipment is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.
