About the Role:

Superior Transmission Inc is looking for a skilled Mechanic and Transmission Installer to join our team in Waterbury, CT! This is a hands-on role where your expertise will keep vehicles running smoothly and customers back on the road. If you're passionate about automotive repair , we want to hear from you!

1. Must have experience, pay is depending on amount of experience
2. Valid driver's license required

Responsibilities:

Diagnose, remove, and install automatic and manual transmissions
Perform general automotive mechanical repairs and maintenance
Conduct transmission rebuilds, overhauls, and component replacements
Inspect drivetrain components including driveshafts, differentials, and transfer cases
Perform road tests and post-repair quality checks to ensure proper vehicle operation
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to service staff

Requirements:

Proven experience as an automotive mechanic with transmission repair and installation experience
Strong knowledge of automatic and manual transmission systems
Ability to use diagnostic tools, scan tools, and standard shop equipment
ASE certification(s) preferred but not required
Valid driver's license required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship
