Position Summary:
The Criminal Justice Program is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented student worker to support the development of a comprehensive template for evaluating and awarding transfer credits for police academy completion requirements across all U.S. states. The student worker will gather, organize, and synthesize information on state-level academy standards to assist faculty in determining appropriate credit equivalencies.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Internet-based research on police academy standards in each state.Â
- Collect and organize information to support credit evaluation.Â
- Compile data into clear and usable formats for faculty review.Â
- Identify and document governing bodies, primary contacts (name, phone, email, title), links to academy curricula, and any other pertinent data.Â
Qualifications:
- Strong Internet research skills.Â
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets.Â
- Ability to interpret and compile information from state government sources.Â
- No physical labor involved.Â
