Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certification in ServSafe- Food Handler
  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment with knowledge of safe food preparation techniques.
  • Basic understanding of dietary needs related to dementia or willingness to undergo specialized training.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt recipes to meet specific nutritional requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in healthcare, assisted living, or dementia care settings.
  • Additional training or certification in dementia care nutrition or related fields.
  • Knowledge of specialized diets such as texture-modified diets, low-sodium, or diabetic-friendly meal preparation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring all food handling procedures are strictly followed.
