As a Food Service Supervisor at MercyOne, you will be responsible for successfully leading and monitoring all work assigned to food operations including any or all of the following: production, purchasing, sanitation, patient food services, retail, procurement, food distribution and catering. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne. Â
Supervises work assigned within the food operation.
Orders food and supplies.
Coordinates daily food production and delivery.
Monitors processes that assure a safe. sanitary environment.
Maintains software applications and supports system users.
Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.
Schedule:
Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
Varied shifts based on department needs
General Requirements:
3 - 4 years' experience in Food and Nutrition
Intermediate language, intermediate math, high reasoning ability.Â
Ability to lead others and communicate clearly and to work with people of diverse backgrounds. Â
Ability to monitor, analyze and make quick decisions.Â
Effective organization skills, including delegating, and time management skills.Â
Personal and professional integrity.Â
Excellent interpersonal skills including being a positive motivator and role model for others.Â
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet/exceed established goals and objectives.Â
Ability to anticipate, solve and follow-up with issues/problems.Â
Ability to identify detailed Food Service performance problems and find appropriate solutions.Â
Ability to train staff in all facets of Food Service operationsÂ
Education:
Associate's degree preferred.
Food Safety Certification preferred.
