Barista - Full / Part Time

Asaro Bakery and Café is a family-owned bakery and café, located at 1629 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA. We are looking for talented individuals that are eager to learn, passionate about the bakery and café business, and are excited to be part of a small team that is dedicated to producing high quality hand-made baked goods, sandwiches, espresso drinks, and other delicious delights.

Qualifications:

- Prior experience working in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality environment is preferred, but by no means a must have

- Passion for coffee, and educating our customers on all of our espresso and coffee products

- Enjoys working in a fast pace, customer facing environment

- Reliable, consistent, and punctual with your time

- Enjoy interacting with customers, making sure each interaction leaves a lasting positive and hospitable impression on the customer

- Interest in working as part of a small team; help and work in all areas of the espresso bar and cash register

- Attention to details, cleanliness, and a desire to output products at the highest quality

- Desire to learn and constantly grow as a barista, and as a person

Responsibilities:

- Deliver exceptional hospitality to our customers, your teammates, suppliers, and vendors

- Make and serve guests delicious, high-quality espresso and café drinks

- Varies from day to day, depending on the bakery and café’s needs

Benefits:

- Starting hourly wage: $21 - $25

- Base hourly wage: $17

- Tips; average of additional $6-$8 in hourly rate from tips, distributed bi-weekly

- 50% off on all food and merchandise
