Dakota Bodies manufactures a broad range utility bodies for use in various industries, including the construction, quarrying, mining, transportation, refining, energy and utility industries. Join the Dakota Bodies Outrigger Team! Dakota Bodies is seeking motivated and dependable Assemblers to join our Outrigger production team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling hydraulic outriggers and related components while ensuring quality standards and customer specifications are met. Responsibilities and Duties Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, and schematics. Identify and verify all parts, hardware, and hydraulic components required for assembly. Assemble outrigger structures, weldments, and mechanical components according to specifications. Operate hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively. Verify proper fit, function, and alignment of all assembled components. Troubleshoot and identify poor workmanship and bad welds. Complete final assembly and quality inspections prior to shipment. Assist with repairs, rework, and modifications when required. Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting devices to move components safely. Prepare completed units for shipping and load trailers as required. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Follow all company quality standards, safety procedures, and production requirements.   Qualifications Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16". Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and assembly drawings. Mechanical aptitude and understanding of assembly processes. Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and common shop equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical assembly issues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable with a strong work ethic and attendance record. Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the workday. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.   Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs. Experience in manufacturing, hydraulic assembly, mechanical assembly, welding, or construction is preferred but not required.
