Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Dakota Bodies Watertown - Watertown, SD 57201Education Level: High SchoolJob Shift: GraveyardJob Title: Night Shift Quality Inspector Location: Dakota Bodies – Watertown, SD Shift: Night Shift Position Summary: The Night Shift Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that all products meet Dakota Bodies’ high standards of quality and safety. This position is responsible for inspecting trailers and components throughout the manufacturing process, identifying defects, and collaborating with production teams to resolve issues and maintain consistent quality output. Key Responsibilities: Consistently wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Conduct inspections and quality checks on trailers and components to ensure compliance with ATW standards. Monitor production processes to identify and report any deviations or malfunctions. Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to uphold product quality and resolve issues. Utilize checklists, standard work procedures, engineering specifications, and digital tools (e.g., iAuditor) to assess and document quality metrics. Follow products through each stage of production to verify completion and accuracy. Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials and finished goods to confirm adherence to specifications. Record and maintain accurate quality assurance data and reports. Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.  QualificationsQualifications: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing 40+ pounds. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and industrial environments. Commitment to maintaining a safe, drug-free, and alcohol-free workplace.
