The Seasonal Studio Technician will provide a wide range of technical assistance and support to Studio Operations, including but not limited to maintaining the studio areas for Watertown, TD Garden, and Fenway Park. 


This part time position (about 20 hours per week) is available from now through at least October, with the potential for extending into December pending playoff requirements and holiday coverage.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the studio by keeping the area clean and tidy, properly reporting equipment issues.
  • Follow safety protocol and procedures
  • Daily studio set-up and preparation
  • Operate studio Jib camera, and Stage Manage as needed to support NESN’s live and taped productions
  • Assist with talent and guests 
  • Assist in camera and talent blocking 
  • Studio lighting support 
  • Participate in remote studio productions
  • Assist in mic and IFB checks


Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in stage rigging, grip work and remote studio support
  • Degree or Certification in technical broadcast operations, a plus
  • Ability to lift heavy items
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Take and execute direction of senior staff regarding live and taped studio productions
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Solid organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-starter who is eager to learn and grow
  • Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, overnights and holidays as needed
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of the technical execution of broadcast television
  • Licensed driver, safe driver - driving background check will be required



The expected range for this position is $19.00 to $24.00 per hour. The final offer will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and internal equity.
