Job DetailsJob Location: Waterville Valley, NH 03215Position Type: Full TimeThe Social Media Coordinator will work closely with marketing, events, snow reporting, guest services, and mountain operations teams to deliver timely, engaging, and informative content throughout the year. The ideal candidate is passionate about skiing, snowboarding, outdoor recreation, and storytelling through digital media. Key Responsibilities Social Media Management Manage daily social media activity across platforms including: Instagram Facebook X/Twitter TikTok YouTube Schedule, publish, and monitor social media posts, stories, and reels. Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity aligned with Waterville Valley Resort standards. Monitor trends, audience engagement, and emerging social media opportunities. Content Creation Capture and produce photo and video content highlighting: Skiing and snowboarding Snow conditions and powder days Terrain parks Events and competitions Family and guest experiences Dining, lodging, and village activities Create short-form videos, reels, graphics, and promotional content. Assist with live event coverage and real-time storytelling across resort channels. Coordinate with photographers, athletes, ambassadors, and influencers when applicable. Guest Communication & Engagement Respond to guest comments, messages, and inquiries professionally and promptly. Support operational communication related to: Lift and terrain updates Weather conditions Event information Delays and mountain operations Help maintain accurate and engaging guest-facing communication during peak periods and weather events. Marketing & Resort Collaboration Collaborate with departments including: Snow reporting Events Ski School Guest Services Food & Beverage Lodging Mountain Operations Support marketing campaigns promoting: Season passes Lift tickets Events and festivals Lodging packages Summer and winter activities Assist with resort-wide marketing initiatives and digital promotions. Analytics & Reporting Track and report social media performance metrics including: Engagement Reach Audience growth Video performance Campaign effectiveness Identify opportunities to improve content strategy and audience engagement. QualificationsQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field preferred. 1–3 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation. Experience in the ski industry, tourism, hospitality, or outdoor recreation preferred. Strong understanding of social media trends and platform best practices. Experience with content creation and editing tools such as: Canva Adobe Creative Suite Lightroom Premiere Pro CapCut Photography and videography skills required. Ability to ski or snowboard confidently in varying conditions preferred. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and powder days.
