Installation Manager

Location: Center State Propane
Reports To: General Manager

Position Summary

Center State Propane is seeking an experienced and motivated Installation Manager to lead our propane equipment installation operations. This individual will oversee the entire installation process, from conducting customer site inspections and preparing proposals to mentoring installation personnel and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically knowledgeable, customer-focused, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct residential and commercial equipment site inspections.
  • Travel to customer locations and perform detailed, in depth, site inspections for equipment installations. 
  • Prepare accurate equipment proposals and deliver them to customers in a professional manner.
  • Upload and maintain all site inspections, proposals, and supporting documentation to track performance and close sales leads.
  • Track all outstanding proposals and maintain accurate installation pipeline records.
  • Proactively follow up on open proposals on a regular basis.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for Customer Service Representatives regarding equipment installation questions and customer concerns.
  • Coordinate with office staff to ensure installations are scheduled efficiently and customer expectations are met.
  • Visit job sites during installations to oversee work quality, ensure compliance with company standards, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Installation Leads and Installation Helpers through hands-on coaching and leadership.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure all installations comply with company policies, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, quality workmanship, and outstanding customer service throughout the installation department.
  • Collaborate with management to improve installation processes, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Experience in propane, HVAC, plumbing, gas utility, or related installation management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of propane equipment, gas piping, regulators, tanks, and appliance installations.
  • Proven leadership and team development experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency with computers and electronic documentation systems.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to read site plans, equipment specifications, and installation diagrams.
  • Experience using electronic proposal and document management systems.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with office and field personnel.
