You will provide general information to hospital users, patients, and families, ensure that patients meet financial requirements or assist in payment plan, provide excellent patient focused customer service, communicate effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Duties/Responsibilities: Customer Service/Information Desk Up-Front Collections/Cashier Emergency Department Registration Outpatient Registration Outpatient Surgery and Special Procedure Inpatient & Observation Registration Insurance Verification Other duties as assigned by supervisor or team lead.  Nothing in this job description restricts MH ability to assign, reassign or eliminate duties and responsibilities of this job at any time. Proficiency in computer use and computer applications.  Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing, bending and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required A minimum of 1 years’ experience in healthcare or customer service setting is preferred with a work record that demonstrates: Previous experience required in one or more of these settings: Customer Service Setting Hospital or Clinic setting Licenses/Certifications: CAC certification preferred or obtained within 3 months of employment.
