Description

Summit Truck Bodies, LLC, a quality manufacturer of custom designed service and lube truck bodies, is expanding its workforce due to increasing sales. If you are a motivated team player who is committed to producing a high-quality product on time and safely, we want you on our team. We are looking for a Final Detailer person to join the team and ensure trucks are clean before delivery to customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying work order, bill of materials and blueprints.
  • Wash truck exterior using cleaning solution, water, cloths and brushes.
  • Vacuum truck cab and body cabinets to remove loose dirt and debris.
  • Inspect body for defects.
  • Apply touch-up paint and caulk as needed.
  • Apply decals.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Wear required personal protective safety equipment at all times.
  • Participate in all continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Frequent mobility and/or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged / extended periods. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Requires working in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.
  • Requires exposure to chemicals and solvents.
  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires hearing within normal range.


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an MVR in good standing.
  • Must have basic knowledge and understanding of automotive paint process and prep.
  • Must have experience in automotive collision repair and refinishing.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Able to use hand and power tools and other equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Able to operate a forklift if required.
  • Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
