Job Title: Patient Care Tech.

Department: Clinics

Status: Part Time, 24 hours per week

Schedule: Clinic Hours

Summary/Objective

The PCT is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care services under the general direction of the Clinic Coordinator and Medical Director.

1. Greets patients, rooms patients, takes vitals and documents pertinent information about the reason for the visit.  Collects information to ensure quality measures are met and performs a medication reconciliation at every visit.

2. Communicates with patients in person and over the phone to ensure that their requests are documented and transferred to the appropriate clinic staff, billing staff or administrative staff to handle.

Experience/Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clerical skills & basic data entry skills preferred.
• Possesses a service orientation.
• Able to take vital signs

Licenses/Certifications

• BLS certification
• Passes EKG testing yearly

Iroquois Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed hospital located in Watseka, Illinois. The hospital facility is comprised of clinical and diagnostic services which are dedicated to providing high quality health care services to the community. These services include but are not limited to an Emergency Room, full service OR suites, an inpatient care unit, therapy services, advanced medical imaging, Home Health, and Hospice Care. The hospital operates rural health clinics in Watseka, IL, Gilman, IL, Milford, IL, Saint Anne, IL and Kentland, IN. The hospital also operates a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.
