Innovative Captive Strategies (ICS) is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Business Development Consultant to join our team. This role involves managing new business opportunities, marketing them to carrier partners, and collaborating with our sales team to ensure accurate information. Your contribution will enhance the profitability and value of ICS through strong communication and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities include managing new business opportunities and ensuring accurate documentation, analyzing data and preparing documents for client acceptability, coordinating with internal and external clients on new business processes, reviewing and verifying new business documents for pricing and accuracy, monitoring sales pipeline and following up with carrier partners, organizing New Member On-Boarding calls and communications, and providing guidance on underwriting questions. Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining carrier lists and product knowledge, interacting independently with carrier contacts and attending meetings, preparing marketing presentation materials using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, training and onboarding new team members, and performing special projects as needed. Qualifications include a High School Diploma required; College degree preferred, active state-specific Employee Benefits Insurance agent license or ability to obtain within three months, 5+ years of experience in a professional business environment, strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and ability to travel as necessary. Skills & Technical Competencies include good knowledge of employee benefit coverages, ability to read, understand and analyze life and health coverages, forms and policies, consistent participation in internal and external educational opportunities to enhance knowledge of current insurance topics or relevant system improvements, and actively fostering relationships by seeking to understand appropriate parties, prioritizing problem solving, and collaborating to deliver unique and impactful solutions.
