This position requires an individual with technical and customer service experience in the construction industry.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical service to architects, contractors, and distributors to advise on proper material selection for specific applications.
  • Review of architectural blueprints, details, and specifications to advise on proper material selection for specific applications.
  • Draft specifications and details for architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors.
  • Preparation of technical documents / literature for architects, engineers, contractors and distributors.
  • Conduct seminars for architects, distributors, contractors and other construction professionals.
  • Investigate/settle customer service & product complaints diplomatically & professionally within authorized limits.
  • Handle input/requests from sales/field personnel and update job file system.
  • Identify and forward leads to sales department.
  • Maintain professional conduct.

  • Other duties as directed by Supervisor.

Job Specifications/Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in construction industry.
  • 2 years in technical support of a building material or product preferred.
  • Fluency in 2nd language preferred.
  • Physical strength to lift and carry minimum of 50 pounds frequently.
  • Knowledge of architecture and construction practices and materials.
  • Knowledge of LATICRETE products and applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of competitive materials preferred.
  • Technical communication and presentation abilities (some of which is on short notice).
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.  Intermediate knowledge of and functional proficiency in ERP and CRM systems; Oracle EnterpriseOne and SalesForce1 CRM system preferred.
  • Team Cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma; Degree preferred.

Travel:

  • 25%, with some International travel required
