Construction Project Manager
Waukesha, WI

 

Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role owns project profitability, schedule, safety, quality, and client satisfaction while managing internal teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
Preconstruction & Bidding
  • Review plans, specs, and bid documents for accuracy
  • Support bid strategy, schedules, and scope development
  • Coordinate site visits, RFIs, and permit planning
Project Execution
  • Manage subcontractor buyout, contracts, and purchase orders
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Lead kickoff meetings and subcontractor meetings
  • Conduct regular site visits and progress reviews
  • Partner with Superintendents to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence
  • Manage change orders and cost impacts
Project Oversight
  • Lead weekly project reviews with internal teams
  • Monitor financial performance and documentation
  • Ensure timely reporting and compliance
Closeout
  • Oversee project turnover, O&M manuals, and documentation
  • Manage warranty items and lessons-learned reviews
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s in Construction or Business preferred
  • 5 plus years of construction project management experience
  • Retail/commercial project experience required
  • Strong subcontractor and schedule management background
  • OSHA 10 (30 preferred)
Software: Microsoft Office + construction management platforms (Procore, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Viewpoint, etc.)

Travel
Regular travel to active project sites required.
