THE ROLE:              Electrical Mechanical Assembler

 

LOCATION:              Waukesha, WI

REPORTS TO:        Supervisor, Manufacturing

POSITION TYPE:    Full-time, non-exempt

 

OUR OPPORTUNITY:

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, the VRC Technician performs all related mechanical assembly and electrical work on VRC units including stringing beams, wiring and assembling motors, inspecting control panels, wiring pumps and motor buses by performing the following duties.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect control panels to assure wired up correctly.
  • String beams and assure that all wiring cable is proper length in the main beams.
  • Install shafts, bearings and sprockets in the motors and bolts them to the base.
  • Maintain inventory of stock parts, hardware, hose kits, filler panels, 6” panels and cylinders; advises supervisor and purchasing when stock is low to assure that needed parts are available.
  • Assemble 500# lifts, cylinders and carriages.
  • Inspect and test pumps, setting up pressure switch and setting relief valve.

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One-year certificate in electrical wiring from a college or technical school and at least one-year related experience; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have basic computer skills as well as the ability to learn and operate in an ERP environment is required.
  • Ability of perform basic calculations using a calculator. Must be able to read and use tape measure.
  • Employee must wear OSHA approved safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
  • Physical requirements include: regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
