Position Summary

Suburban Drywall is seeking a Safety Coordinator for our Waukesha Location. The Safety Coordinator will assist in establishing reliable methods for improving safety performance and creating a safe environment for all employees, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify risks, effectively enforce company policies and ensure key safety metrics are met
• Support the planning, organization, and execution of monthly safety meetings and training sessions
• Investigate all accidents, injuries, and near misses. Prepare detailed reports, maintain records, and follow up on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain and update safety records, compliance documentation, training logs, and digital files across systems such as Paychex, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
• Coordinate communication of safety policies, toolbox talks, and hazard alerts to employees and field supervisors.
• Maintain inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety materials
• Travel to job sites to assist with field safety activities
• Serve as an additional point of contact for safety-related questions from employees and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or a safety-related role
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and construction industry safety standards
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, or use ladders
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for safety equipment handling
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must possess an OSHA 30 construction certificate
• First Aid, CPR & AED certifications preferred or willing to become certified

Department: Suburban Drywall Inc.

Position type: Full-time.

Reports to: Safety Manager.

Location: Waukesha, WI (on-site).
