The Position: 

The Senior Integration Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of complex system integrations that enable seamless data flow across the organization's applications and partners. This role acts as a subject matter expert (SME) on integration architecture, data exchange standards, and best practices.

This individual partners with business units, application teams, and vendors to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable integration solutions. They also provide technical leadership, mentor junior analysts, and play a key role in shaping integration strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency.

  • Serve as the lead analyst and subject matter expert for enterprise integration initiatives and middleware platforms.

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex integrations connecting ERP, CRM, and third-party systems, as well as data integrations for data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives (ETL, etc.).

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT leadership to define integration requirements, architecture, and data flow strategies.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of integration or data integrity issues.

  • Oversee the design and documentation of data mappings, interface specifications, and system dependencies.

  • Lead testing, validation, and deployment of integration solutions across environments.

  • Implement and enforce integration standards, security protocols, and performance monitoring practices.

  • Partner with application owners and infrastructure teams to ensure integration reliability, scalability, and compliance.

  • Evaluate new integration tools, APIs, and cloud-based technologies to enhance efficiency and innovation.

  • Mentor junior Integration Analysts, providing guidance on technical approaches, documentation, and process improvement.

  • Contribute to IT governance by ensuring integrations follow change management, incident response, and data privacy policies.

  • Support integration-related aspects of enterprise projects and strategic initiatives.

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 6-10+ years of experience in integration analysis, ETL and data integrations, systems design, or application development.

  • Proven expertise in designing and supporting integrations using APIs, ETL processes, or middleware platforms.

  • Advanced knowledge of data formats (JSON, XML, CSV), data mapping, and transformation logic.

  • Proficiency in SQL and database query design for data validation and troubleshooting.

  • Experience managing integrations between multiple enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, digital channels, data warehousing)

Preferred:

  • Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, DataFactory, Azure Integration Services, or Informatica.

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation or data processing.

  • Knowledge of ITIL or ITSM frameworks and SDLC best practices.

  • Familiarity with the construction industry is a plus

  • Data architecture skills a plus
