Description

  • Perform Inspection functions including but not limited to: QA Releasing, Dimensional Inspection, Romer Scanning, Gage Lab Operations and Fab/Weld/Upgrade Operations.  
  • Develop, modify and document quality procedures in response to customer specifications and quality plans.
  • Assist in mapping of all fabricated assemblies to meet quality and traceability requirements. 
  • Provide expertise to other WC departments in metrology, statistical control and quality planning.
  • Investigate root causes and corrective actions of customer complaints and returns, as well as determine solutions and generate preventive action reports for customers.
  • Review and interpret customer drawings and specifications in cooperation with engineers and other WC staff.
  • Resolve quality compliance problems in collaboration with other WC departments and coordinating compliance resolution efforts.
  • Perform quality review and release of repaired castings. 
  • Function as a backup for the Weld Coordinator as necessary. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of quality assurance experience.
  • Demonstrated Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) knowledge.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated logical and systematical thinking, interpersonal, communication and writing skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
