Job Description Summary

The Global Business Legal Counsel serves as a strategic advisor to the Imaging leadership team, providing forward-thinking legal guidance and compliance oversight across global operations. This role partners with senior executives to enable growth, manage risk, and ensure adherence to evolving regulatory frameworks in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted business partner to Imaging leadership, advising on strategic initiatives, complex transactions, and emerging business models. Provide legal advice for new and developing business and commercial models as technology, regulations, and markets evolve)
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute acquisitions, investments, and collaborations, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate high-impact commercial agreements and strategic transactions.
  • Provide expert guidance on anti-corruption (AKS, FCPA), privacy, antitrust, advertising, and promotional compliance.
  • Develop and deliver regulatory & compliance training programs in collaboration with regulatory specialists.
  • Understanding of technology-driven compliance challenges, including data governance and cybersecurity.
  • Apply sound business and legal judgment to assess risk and enable decision-making in fast-paced environments.
  • Collaborate with global legal teams and subject matter experts to address complex cross-border compliance challenges.
  • Oversee outside counsel engagement and ensure cost-effective, high-quality legal representation.
  • Partner with Chief Litigation & Investigations Counsel to manage disputes, litigation, and product-related incidents.
  • Applying combined business and legal judgment to proposed deals, relationships and other issues requiring legal or compliance attention
  • Collaboration with regional legal colleagues and subject matters experts to analyze and advise the business on complex legal/compliance issues that arise out of Imaging’s global operations
  • Build and lead a high-performing legal and compliance team, fostering a culture of integrity and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop talent to support business growth and global expansion.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or global equivalent with active bar membership.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in business and healthcare law within a multinational corporation or top-tier law firm.
  • Proven track record in negotiating and closing complex transactions and advising in highly regulated environments.
  • Expertise in healthcare regulations (FDA, Medicare/Medicaid, anti-kickback statutes) and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong ability to prioritize competing demands and make rapid, informed risk assessments.
  • Exceptional communication skills; Ability to navigate diverse legal systems and cultural contexts.

Desired:

  • Experience in medical device industry, particularly Imaging.
  • Familiarity with global compliance programs, data privacy, and emerging regulatory trends.

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $288,000.00-$432,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
