Job Description Summary

This role will be part of the Monitoring Sustaining Engineering Operations team, responsible for Recall/FMIs, Tech Pubs, Product Lifecycle management and other sustaining engineering activities. This role will assist in initiation and completion of recalls, run end of product life projects and create product and service documentation for end users of our products. In addition, the role will drive initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function while interfacing with cross functional teams to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination.

Job Description

Sustaining engineering operations supports a wide variety of installed based projects.  The role will require flexibility moving between various assignments.

  • Technical Publications Support
    • Draft documentation requirements, review and edit and test documentation.
    • Track and fix documentation defects and assist in the development of the user documentation strategy
    • Documents and translates product technical information into easily comprehensible language.
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to produce high-quality documentation and contribute to larger teams on projects.
  • FMI Project Leadership
    • Lead the assessment of intended FMI programs for affected products, installed base size, needed data sources and resources to complete the field action within the required time frame. 
    • Present complete and accurate status of all FMIs in review meetings. 
    • Coordinate the work of others who are executing the FMI programs to drive FMI Milestone completion. 
    • Maintain the affected installed base data files to ensure accuracy and completeness, including the integration of data provided by Operations, Service, OEMs, distributors and other suppliers. 
    • Participate in gathering relevant information for Regulatory reportability decisions. 
  • End of Product Life Leadership
    • Leads and coordinates execution of End of Product life and end of service life programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, presentation skills and technical communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, plan & evaluate program deliverables to established strategic goals. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, strong influencing, and communication skills 
  • Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating, and driving closure of a product/project
  • Excellent verbal and written communications 
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate business issues in English in a clear and concise manner. 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, influence and lead process improvements and procedural changes. 
  • Must be willing to work out of our Waukesha, WI facility
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with working in Salesforce bench tool
  • Experience handling Monitoring Solutions specific product issues relating to Field actions
  • Knowledge of GE Healthcare products
  • Prefer 1 year experience in writing and editing documentation
