Job DetailsJob Location: Scientific Protein Laboratories - Waunakee, WI 53597JOB SUMMARY   Join our team at Scientific Protein Laboratories (SPL), a world leader in biosourced pharmaceuticals, located just outside of Madison, Wisconsin in Waunakee!  SPL is an innovative biopharmaceutical leader with unique products and services supporting the pharmaceutical industry globally.  For over 40 years, SPL specializes in the development and cGMP compliant manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).  SPL has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Calibration Specialist, 1st shift, M-F This position is responsible for minimum supervision, execute metrology program requirements to ensure proper calibration of production, research, and quality control instruments and processes to maintain compliance with cGMP's. Write and perform calibration SOP's, train junior (or lesser experienced) personnel assigned to perform calibrations and assist supervision with administration of the Calibration and Metrology Information System (CMIS). Position will be filled at the experience level determined by the discretion of the hiring manager. Responsibilities include:   Calibrate a wide variety of electronic, pneumatic, physical, dimensional, and analytical measuring instruments to include a diverse range of disciplines such as recorders, controllers, transducers, flow, pressure, temperature, mass, humidity, radar, pH, conductivity, gas sensors, moisture analyzers, autoclaves, and spectrophotometers. In addition to writing calibration SOP's, write technical reports, develop charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate the operating characteristics of instrumentation that may also include malfunctions, deviations, and functional limitations. Within a GMP environment, perform all aspects of metrology and calibration to maintain various calibration standards, the Calibration and Metrology Information System (CMIS), and provide written recommendations to management in support of it.   Assists in developing appropriate calibration systems and procedures for new and existing process and/or lab equipment.   Provide oversight of contractor third party calibration.   Blue Mountain RAM.   ​​​​​​​ Job Requirements and Qualifications: Position will be filled up to the Senior level and determined at discretion of the hiring manager.
