We are looking for a Buyer/Planner II who’s ready to be part of a team that works with purpose and leads with care.In this role, you will be responsible for procuring raw materials, managing inventory levels, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring materials are delivered on time to support production and customer delivery schedules. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, deep supply chain knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing or construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Inventory Management

  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to analyze production and delivery schedules and generate purchase orders.
  • Create, issue, and track purchase orders; follow up on vendor acknowledgments and resolve delivery/quality issues.
  • Maintain optimal inventory by monitoring stock levels, setting reorder points, and managing vendor lead times.
  • Oversee material receipt, warehousing, and timely delivery to production.
  • Actively participate in purchasing, freight, supply, production, quality checks, and invoicing processes.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new suppliers as needed.
  • Execute supplier agreements that align with company requirements.
  • Ensure end-to-end supply chain performance from order to shipment.

 Reporting & Vendor Management

  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, inventory status, and market trends.
  • Track inventory usage and forecasting data to support purchasing decisions.
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and quality requirements with suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and product databases.
  • Provide timely support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced understanding of supply chain principles and methodologies.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Proficient in Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and MRP methodologies.
  • Effective conflict management skills.
  • Dependable, flexible, and self-directed.

 Education & Experience

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business-related field OR minimum of 5 years of buyer/planner experience in manufacturing or construction.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management.
  • Purchasing experience with vendor negotiations.
  • Minimum 4 years of leadership or vendor management experience.
  • Experience with ERP implementations or optimization.
  • Professional, organized approach with the ability to prioritize and perform under deadlines.
  • Strong communication and supplier management skills with the ability to lead and influence.
