At Novonesis, our weekend Bottle Pack team plays a critical role in ensuring high‑quality probiotic products reach customers safely and efficiently. Based in Wausau, WI, this team works hands‑on with fully automated production equipment to sanitize, set up, and operate bottle‑filling lines for probiotic capsules.  You’ll join a close‑knit group of energetic and fun coworkers who take pride in working hard, supporting one another, and contributing directly to Novonesis’ purpose of improving health through science‑based solutions.

The Role & Your Impact

This is an operational, hands‑on role where your daily work directly supports safe, efficient, and high‑quality production. As an Operator – Bottle Pack (2nd Shift), you will help prepare, operate, and support automated equipment used to fill, cap, label, and carton probiotic products.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting set‑up technicians in preparing machines for operation
  • Ensuring proper sanitation of all machine parts and components
  • Understanding the role and basic function of each machine in the process
  • Handling raw materials, from probiotic capsules to cardboard shipping boxes
  • Assisting teammates as needed to keep production running smoothly and safely

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

To perform this role safely and effectively, you’ll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and write English to understand product specifications and instructions
  • Basic understanding of general mechanical functions of machines
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for the majority of a 12‑hour shift when required
  • A safety‑minded, reliable approach to day‑to‑day work in a production environment

Additional Skills & Interests We Value

While not required, the following can be helpful:

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or packaging environments
  • Familiarity with sanitation or GMP‑style processes
  • Interest in learning how automated production equipment works
  • A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever the team needs support

Ways of Working / Working Conditions

  • Shift pattern: Second shift, working Monday-Thursday from 2:30pm-12:30am
  • Work setup: 100% on‑site in a factory/production environment (no remote work)
  • Overtime: Often available but not required
  • Physical demands:
    • Standing and walking for much of the shift
    • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Environment:
    • Production setting with automated equipment
    • Hearing protection (ear plugs) available if preferred, but not required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay: $19.00 per hour plus shift premium
  • 401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution 
  • Minimum of 3 weeks of vacation plus 12 holidays and 2 weeks of Wellness Time
