Job Title: Assembly Associate

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Wausau, WI (on-site)

Shift:  1st Shift

Hours: Employees may choose either: Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am - 2 pm or Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 2 pm. 

About the Role:

The Assembly Associate plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by accurately assembling metal components to create high-quality finished products. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure all parts are correctly fitted and meet strict quality standards. The associate will collaborate closely with team members and supervisors to maintain efficient workflow and meet production targets. Safety and adherence to operational procedures are paramount to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Ultimately, the role contributes directly to the company’s reputation for delivering durable and reliable metal products to customers across various industries.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble metal parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery according to detailed specifications and blueprints.
• Inspect assembled products for defects or deviations from quality standards and report any issues to the quality control team.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly challenges and improve production processes.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic understanding of metal assembly techniques and tools preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver metal parts and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Previous experience in metal assembly or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Familiarity with welding, soldering, or other metal joining techniques.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with safety standards in industrial settings.

Skills:

The required skills such as reading technical drawings and using hand and power tools are essential for accurately assembling metal components and ensuring product quality. Attention to detail is critical in identifying defects and maintaining high standards throughout the assembly process. Physical stamina and dexterity enable the associate to handle materials safely and efficiently during long shifts. Preferred skills like welding and mechanical aptitude enhance the associate’s ability to perform more complex assembly tasks and contribute to process improvements. Strong communication and teamwork skills facilitate collaboration with colleagues to resolve issues and maintain a productive work environment.
