FCHC Orthopedics - Scheduler / Medical Assistant (MA)


Department: FCHC Orthopedics

Status Hours: Full-time, 72 hours bi-weekly

Shift: 1st shift

Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM & Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Summary:

Fulton County Health Center is seeking a dedicated Scheduler / Medical Assistant (MA) to join our FCHC Orthopedics team.  In this role, the primary responsibility is coordinating and scheduling patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits to ensure an efficient workflow for both patients and providers. This position may also support the clinical team by assisting with patient care tasks such as rooming patients, documenting patient encounters, and preparing for exams and procedures. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits while maintaining accurate scheduling records 
  • Manage incoming patient phone calls and coordinate communication with other offices and healthcare facilities on behalf of patients 
  • Strong organizational skills

Requirements

  • Must be a Medical Assistant (MA)
  • Previous experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) software is required
  • Prior experience in a provider office setting is preferred
  • Strong multitasking skills
