Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate canning and packaging equipment

• Clear jams as they occur.

• Perform changeovers.

• Read and interpret work orders and machine operating instructions.      

• Read and understand Human Interface screens and alarms.

• Maintain quality of the canning/packaging process and report issues as they arise to maintenance and Supervisor in a timely manner.

• Read and interpret product specifications to ensure product produced is within the customer/company quality standards.

• Accurately perform in-process checks while documenting results

• Communicate with material handlers to ensure production components are never in shortage.

• Maintain a clean working area, disposing of waste, cleaning floor, work surfaces, and around equipment.

• Troubleshooting and problem solving when necessary

• Assist with maintenance when needed

• Follow all safety policies and procedures

• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 40 pounds

• Ability to stand for 12 hours per day

• Ability to work independently or with a team.

• Manufacturing experience preferred

• Communicate effectively

• Ability to use motorized equipment, hand jacks, step ladders and platforms 

• Able to read and follow work orders

• Must be flexible and able to shift priorities in a fast paced and fluid work environment.
