PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Serves as the primary point of contact for the implementation, support, and maintenance of assigned application software, including Workday, at the organization. Coordinates development, implementation, standard process development, reporting, forms customization, on-going support, and application maintenance related to assigned applications. Collaborates with various teams to ensure information systems are supported and aligned with business requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Application and System Support:

  • Maintain and support the Workday system, including configuration, security, integrations and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure functionality and performance of assigned software applications, performing regular audits and updates.
  • Review updates to assigned software applications and coordinate testing, training, and implementation of upgrades.
  • Provide day-to-day support for users, addressing issues or questions regarding assigned applications.

Project Management:

  • Lead and participate in projects related to implementing and enhancing Workday and other assigned systems.
  • Serve as project manager for activities requiring cross-departmental involvement.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects within budget constraints, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Utilization of various reporting tools including SQL, PowerBI, Crystal, Bigquery, Pivot tables, Power Pivot.
  • Develop SQL and scripts
  • Collaborate with departments to identify reporting needs and provide solutions using standard or custom tools.

Process and Goal Support:

  • Translate departmental and strategic goals into actionable information system solutions and processes.
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders and workstream leaders to ensure objectives related to information systems are achieved.

Training and Documentation:

  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on Workday and other systems.
  • Create and update user documentation and training materials as needed.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, including data privacy and security requirements.
  • Monitor system access and maintain appropriate security controls.
  • Conduct regular reviews of security protocols and user access rights.

Information Systems Team Support:

  • Provide second-tier Helpdesk support for all assigned software applications.
  • Serve as a backup to other analysts in the Information Systems department.
  • Educate team members on existing technology and best practices.
  • Provides off-hour on-call support as scheduled.
  • Ensure assigned software application support issues and tasks are being addressed correctly and in a timely manner. 

Continuing Education:

  • Stay updated on emerging technology and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain expertise in Workday and other assigned software applications.

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and advocate for organizational policies and procedures.
  • Serve on relevant committees and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration, including Workday or similar HRIS systems.
  • Experience in system configuration, integration, and data management.
  • Workday certification(s) are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Workday configuration, including business process design and security administration.
  • Knowledge of HR, payroll, and finance processes and best practices preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting – Not a requirement.
  • Standing – Approximately 50% of shift.
  • Walking – Approximately 50% of shift.
  • Lifting – Approximately 50 pounds.
  • Twisting – Infrequent.
  • Bending – Moderate.
  • Squat/Kneel – Approximately 25% of shift.
