Summary
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day management of construction projects.Â
They are responsible for delivering a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients,Â
subcontractors, resource providers, and company employees involved in performing constructionÂ
services.
Primary Responsibilities
ï‚· Compile and resolve punch list items
ï‚· Perform final walk-through with customer
ï‚· Secure a signed Completion of Completion and Certificate of Satisfaction from customer
ï‚· Conduct pre-construction meeting with customers
ï‚· Provide project updates (daily narrative) to customers and clients
ï‚· Schedule all subcontractors and material suppliers
ï‚· Ensure all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements ofÂ
the scope of work
ï‚· Document all project activities in the job file in WC 2.0
ï‚· Execute change orders
ï‚· Set expectations on a project-by-project basis
ï‚· Maintain quality standards through site inspections
ï‚· Provide evaluation and rating of all vendors and subcontractors
ï‚· Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions
ï‚· Ensure material suppliers deliver exactly what was purchased
ï‚· Ensure subcontractors complete all work in accordance with their purchase orders
ï‚· Validate schedule and progress
ï‚· Identify areas outside of contracted scope of work
ï‚· Be familiar with and able to execute all roles and responsibilities of the Construction Coordinator
Education and Experience Requirements
ï‚· High school diploma/GED
ï‚· Superb customer service track record
ï‚· Effective written and oral communication
ï‚· Basic math skills
ï‚· Experience in restoration and/or construction preferred
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
ï‚· Walking and/or standing throughout the day
ï‚· Frequent driving and sitting
ï‚· Occasionally climbing ladders
ï‚· Occasionally exposed to extreme conditions such as heat
ï‚· The noise level at individual jobsites can be loud
Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel Requirements
This is a full-time position, working 7:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, 45 hours per week. ThisÂ
position frequently requires long hours (beyond 8 hours a day), working on-call, and weekend work.Â
Travel is required and is primarily local. However, some out-of-area and overnight travel may beÂ
expected.
