SA Counselor I

Location:  Ware Accountability Court                                                 Closing date:  Open until Filled

Hourly Rate:  20.89

Job Description:  Provides skills training as indicated in client treatment plan. Performs, coordinates and monitors the treatment planning process and follow up for each client. Provides social support needed to cope with addiction. Provides case management services to assigned clients as needed/recommended. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:  Will work 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday.

Competencies:  Knowledge of diagnostic impressions or criteria. Knowledge of how client advocacy system operates. Knowledge of individual and group therapy techniques.  Knowledge of various therapeutic models and intervention as directly related to area of assignment. Knowledge of community resources.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field AND two years of related experience or CAC (Certified Addictions Counselor) Must be at least 21 years old to apply. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record with less than 6 points. Preference for experience with or knowledge of trauma informed, resilience-oriented care.
